Romeo and Juliet

I rarely design main stage plays, so I was delighted to have the opportunity to design this classic. Directed by David Sullivan at Rowan University in April 2011, this Romeo and Juliet took place in a “fictional contemporary Italy” , giving me the chance to manifest all those runway fashion I’d dreamed of, what fun. For the masks at the ball I used sunglasses and the nurse was definitely a Jersey girl. All the actors had one costume with several pieces that could be worn (or not worn) in a variety of ways.
